I believe in a world
where little boys & little girls
can run through the park,
embrace & color,
race with each other,
regardless of race or color.
There's no need to change your face to discover
what it's like to be the other;
no need to arrange your shade to uncover
what we already know is under.
I want my children to wonder
why some people are only attracted to their own skin color.
